Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation bar. You can register with your email address and create a password. Once registered, you'll have immediate access to our freemium features.
Is there a free option?
Yes! Every registered user gets free daily access to one course with up to 3 lessons per day. You can select which course to access for free from the freemium dashboard. Upgrade to premium for unlimited access to all courses.
What devices can I use?
Alpha Centauri Studies works on any device with a modern web browser — desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The platform is fully responsive and optimized for all screen sizes.
Courses & Learning
How are courses structured?
Each course is organized into topics, and each topic contains multiple sections with detailed lessons. Lessons include explanations, worked examples, and supporting materials. After completing a topic, you can test your understanding with quizzes.
Can I switch my free course selection?
Yes, you can change your free course selection once every 24 hours. Go to the freemium dashboard and click "Change Course" to select a different course.
How does exam practice work?
Exam practice sessions simulate real exam conditions with timed questions drawn from your course topics. You'll receive detailed feedback on your performance and can review correct answers after each attempt.
What is the AI study assistant?
Our AI assistant is available while you study to help answer questions, explain difficult concepts, and provide additional examples. It's trained on your course content to give relevant, accurate help.
Subscriptions & Billing
How do subscriptions work?
Each course has its own subscription. When you subscribe, you get unlimited access to all lessons, quizzes, and practice exams within that course. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our secure payment processor.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe. All payment information is processed securely and never stored on our servers.
Are there any discounts available?
We periodically offer promotional discounts and flash deals on courses. Check the courses page for current offers. Organizations can also sponsor student access through our sponsorship program.
Study Features
What are study workspaces?
Study workspaces allow you to create collaborative study environments where you can invite classmates, share resources, and study together. You can create multiple workspaces for different subjects or study groups.
How do streaks work?
Your learning streak tracks consecutive days of studying. Complete at least one lesson per day to maintain your streak. If you miss a day, you may have an opportunity to restore your streak (limited restores per month).
What are mystery boxes?
Mystery boxes are rewards you earn through consistent learning. They can contain bonus content, achievements, and other surprises. Keep up your study streak to unlock them!
How does the leaderboard work?
The leaderboard ranks learners by points earned through completing topics, passing quizzes, and maintaining study streaks. It's a fun way to stay motivated and see how you compare with other students.
Account & Settings
How do I reset my password?
Click "Sign In" then "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after 24 hours for security.
Can I change my email address?
You can update your email address from your account settings page. You'll need to verify the new email address before the change takes effect.
How do I delete my account?
To request account deletion, please contact our support team at support@alphacentauristudies.com. We'll process your request within 30 days in accordance with our privacy policy. Please note that account deletion is permanent.
Sponsorships
What is the sponsorship program?
Our sponsorship program allows organizations, schools, and individuals to provide premium course access to students. Sponsors can manage enrollments, track learner progress, and support education in their communities.
How do I become a sponsor?
Click "Sponsor" in the navigation bar or visit the sponsor signup page. You'll be able to set up your organization profile and begin sponsoring student access to courses.
I was sponsored — how do I access my courses?
If a sponsor has enrolled you, the sponsored courses will automatically appear in your dashboard with a "Sponsored" badge. You'll have full premium access to those courses for the duration of the sponsorship.
